NEO-NAZI group stickers have been placed on Old Town lampposts, two weeks after a similar offensive sticker was found in the town centre.

The racist stickers, which had the words Good Night Left Side and the name of far-right group National Action on them were found fixed to lampposts outside the McColls store in Victoria Road.

Two weeks ago, another National Action sticker with the words White Zone was found fixed to a lamppost outside Vision Express. It has since been removed.

Wiltshire Police are investigating the incidents.

A member of the public, who found the stickers but did not wish to be named, said: “I’m shocked to see this kind of propaganda in Swindon, especially in Old Town which is known for its links to arts and culture in the borough.

“I hope the police deal with whoever is putting these up and that on such a busy road there is CCTV to help them.

“We’ve all heard reports of increases in racist incidents after the referendum vote but if people think plastering the town with this kind of fascist imagery is acceptable they should think again.”
