HOW refreshing it was to learn that Christ Church in Old Town is offering water to Pokemon Go players who head there in search of digital beasties, writes BARRIE HUDSON.
Church community centre manager Chris Smith said: “It’s great to do something good for the kids who are out and about catching Pokemon, and it’s better than having them sitting at home on their computers.
“It’s good to get them out of the house and doing some exercise.”
He’s right, but I still feel sorry for certain miserable grown-ups.
It’s all very well young people getting exercise from Pokemon hunting, but what about the miserable grown-ups whose only exercise is banging their gums together about young people today and their fancy X-Stations and whatnot?
