POLICE want to speak to anyone who may have seen a motorbike with one or two people on it near the Texaco filling station in Marlborough Road around the time of an armed robbery on the premises.
This follows on from an earlier appeal for witnesses to the incident on Sunday at about 9.40pm.
A trainee cashier, believed to be in his early 20s, was hospitalised with injuries to his head suffered when the robber hit him with a metal pole.
He had been working at the garage for less than a week.
The suspect is described as being a slim white man wearing a black motorcycle helmet, a dark-coloured hoodie, grey T-shirt, grey jogging bottoms and white trainers.
Det Con Jared Yalden said: "We are still carrying out our enquiries in to this robbery and would like to speak to anyone who may have seen a motorcycle near to this petrol station or in the local area at this time."
If you can help police with enquiries contact DC Yalden on 101 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
