RESTAURANT bosses Scott and Luke Jacobs have thanked the community for their messages of support following a brawl which trashed their eatery on Halloween.
They are set to re-open Bottelino’s in Penzance Drive tomorrow after spending all of today carrying out a major clean-up operation with their friends.
A man who was stabbed during the invite-only party, which was gate-crashed in the early hours of Sunday, remains in a serious but stable condition at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
Scott, 23, said: “The forensics have left and we’ve only just got everything all clean and back up and running.
“It’s not as serious as we anticipated, there was glass everywhere, chairs broken and stains on the wall though.
“We have been co-operating with the police all of today."
Around 40 people had been enjoying the evening before the night took a turn for the worse and ended in a serious punch-up and brawl when gate-crashers arrived.
Scott, who received a cut to his head trying to break up the fight, added: “The support from everyone has been fantastic.
"I’ve just gone through all my emails and I can’t tell you how many we have received.
“It’s been a really hard time and we were really worried we would be put in a negative light and to get the place back up and running has not been easy.”
Three men - one aged 26 and two aged 28 from Swindon - have been released on police bail in connection with the serious assault.
