POLICE who were on their way back after dealing with a crash on Wharf Road encountered a third collision at the Spittleborough junction near Royal Wootton Bassett in the space of a week.
The B4005 had only just been opened following the earlier crash near Blooms Garden Centre when the second crash involving two cars and a tanker happened on the A3102.
Paramedics checked the drivers over at the scene and a fire crew was called because of the involvement of the tanker.
The road has been reopened but police have warned there may be some delays.
