Screaming jelly babies, hands of fires and mini motors? Just what have Commonweal students been up to? Last week students had a fun time learning about science via interesting experiments held during lunchtimes and in class. This was to celebrate British Science Week – 10-19 March 2017. www.britishscienceweek.org
“Commonweal have been celebrating British Science Week with numerous activities.
We started the week by launching the 'Change' poster competition for Key Stage 3.
Each day a year group has experienced a science assembly and science quizzes and games in tutor time.
“The library have also been involved with promoting and displaying all things science to occupy the students during library time and before and after school, break and lunch times.
Thursday was national demo day, this was our main day for science experiences by providing hands on and fun experiments for the students to be part of,” said Polly Long, science teacher.
