Man charged with attempted kidnap of girl, 9
A MAN has been charged with the attempted kidnap of a nine-year-old girl.
Following an incident in Ashton Keynes on Saturday where a nine-year-old girl was grabbed by a man in the Park Place area of the village, a 24-year-old man has been charged with attempted kidnapping and actual bodily harm.
Alexander Benfield from Lawrence Road, Cirencester, remains in police custody.
He is due to appear before Swindon magistrates this morning.
