SWINDON’S Kentwood Choir will be strutting their stuff at the new Trees Nightclub - all in aid of charity.
Tickets are on sale now for a cabaret night with three-course meal at the Rendezvous in Swindon on Sunday, September 10, from 7pm.
Proceeds from the cabaret evening, thanks to nightclub and restaurant owner Alan Mok, will go towards the Kentwood Show Choir’s chosen charity for the year, Hope For Children.
The charity helps children in Africa, Asia and the UK through education to reach their full potential.
Founder and musical director of the choir Sheila Harrod said: “We are very excited about performing cabaret. It gives new people a chance to see what the choir is all about.”
The choir will be singing upbeat, lighter numbers especially chosen for the cabaret, with songs from the soloists and the little big band led by Paul Maguire.
Alan Mok is also sponsoring the choir’s Christmas Cracker this year and tickets are on sale now for the festive show on Sunday, November 19, from 01793 524481.
The choir is also looking for new sponsorship from firms, individuals or organisations.
Tickets for the cabaret are £21 from 01793 523570 or swindonrendezvous.co.uk. — Flicky Harrison
