SCORES of screaming girls queued up to grab a glimpse of Love Island winner Kem Cetinay as he visited Swindon on Saturday.

The 21-year-old made a whistle-stop tour of the town as he had the honours of cutting the ribbon for the grand opening of Palace Amusements in Bridge Street.

Dozens of fans devotedly waited outside for the Essex chap who was more than happy to pose for pictures with them.

Stephen Lawrence, operations director at Palace Amusements said booking Kem to open the new venture was a resounding success.

“What we want to do from having this opening is let people know we are here,” he said.

“We are a family business and we wanted to publicise the fact that we now have a presence in the town.

“We wanted to create somewhere where adults can come and spend their leisure time and this place is our 21st opening across the country and first in Swindon.

“It is all about people enjoying themselves and by bringing in Kem to open the place it has obviously worked.”

Fit with the latest amusement games and machines, Palace Amusements is only open to people aged 18+.

Kem, who won Love Island alongside girlfriend Amber Davies last month, said it was his first time in Swindon.

“It is great to be here and meet the people of Swindon,” he said.

“It is brilliant to meet everyone because they’ve been really lovely and welcoming.”
