A DELIVERY truck has struck the railway bridge on Corporation Street this morning causing traffic delays in the area.
The vehicle, described as a Luton-style van, appears to be used for furniture delivery.
At approximately 11.30am it was being driven from Great Western Way, along Corporation Street towards the town centre.
Despite height warnings emblazoned in large letters across the bridge, the driver appears to have misjudged his clearances and become stuck.
Traffic has backed up behind the obstruction.
A spokesman for Network Rail confirmed that a bridge strike inspector had been dispatched to the scene. For now all train lines continue to operate as normal.
