999 crews were called to Old Town this afternoon to help a "drunk" man.
Two police cars, a double-staffed ambulance and a first-responder paramedic attended the scene at the corner of Union Row and Victoria Road at around 2pm today.
A staff member at nearby Baila bar said: "A guy had fallen over. He was very drunk and busted his nose."
Customers at Mr Cod told the Adver they had seen a man being treated by paramedics inside the ambulance.
Paramedics were seen leaving Victoria Road at around 2.20pm.
A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said that officers had been called by paramedics at around 2pm over fears that a man had been victim of assault.
However, further investigations established that no assault had taken place, he said.
