Crash involving lorry and car closes A419
POLICE are urging drivers to avoid the A419 near Swindon and Cricklade in the wake of a serious crash involving and lorry and a car.
The collision happened just before 10am on the southbound carriageway near to the junction with Seven Bridges Farm.
Paramedics, firefighters and the air ambulance were called to the scene and the carriageway is completely closed between the Cricklade junction towards Swindon.
One northbound lane has also been shut near the crash, resulting in slow traffic.
