A "HANDSOME" unneutered black cat has appeared in Moredon and has been causing problems among local cats.

Pauline Jackson first spotted the "very large" glossy black cat in September in her garden near the junction of Akers Way and Bourne Road. Since then he has made regular and persistent appearances in the gardens of residents living along the road. But she has no idea who he belongs to - and now his presence has posed a problem with residents' cats - including Pauline's own felines - who are now less keen on going outside owing to his presence, she said.

Estimating him to be about four years old, Pauline described him as having "very appealing, pale yellow eyes". She said: "He is very friendly and loving, which makes me think he has had time invested in him."

She has even fitted him with a collar containing a found message inside it, just in case he should wander home of his own accord, and his owners wonder where he has been.

Now Pauline is urging anyone who may recognise the moggy from the photograph to get in touch and take him home.
