POLICE have confirmed that they are not treating the sudden death of a woman in the town centre on Friday as suspicious.
Emergency services were called to Gordon Gardens at 6.30am on Friday, December 1 after a member of the public found a woman's body.
Despite best efforts to perform CPR, the 60-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: “We were called to Gordon Gardens in Swindon town centre shortly after 6.30am on December 1 after the body of a woman was found.
“We are not treating her death as suspicious and a file has been prepared for H M Coroner for Wiltshire. Our thoughts are with her family at this time.”
