A WALCOT man who admitted taking part in the supply of hard drugs has been warned he is facing a jail term.

Daniel Conway pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply heroin and crack cocaine when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court.

The 24-year-old admitted his role in the illicit trade between the start of December 2015 and the end of June last year.

But he and another men who also accepted being involved in the conspiracy will have to wait until next year to be sentenced.

That is because six other men, including two from the Parks estate, either pleaded not guilty or have yet to have the charges formally put to them.

Conway, of Gresham Close, and Omarhi Henry-Peddie, of Hackney, north London, each admitted the two counts.

Adjourning their cases Judge Robert Pawson said "You have pleaded guilty to serious offences which would normally result in custodial sentences."

The other six now face the prospect of a trial next year which may have to be moved away from Swindon because of the length of time it will take.

Diwa Limbu, 24, Netherton Close, Park South, and Renaldo Roberts, 18, of Shoreditch, pleaded not guilty to both allegations.

Ian Paul, 48, Dulverton Avenue, Park North. also faces the two charges but they have yet to be put to him.

Londoners Samuel Awoyera, 19, and Nana Boakye, 23, only face the count relating to heroin and each pleaded not guilty.

The final defendant, Solomon Johnson, 19, from Hackney, did not attend court after an accident on the morning of the hearing and has not entered a plea.

The judge adjourned the case to Friday February 16 for a pre trial hearing and remanded Boakye in custody and the others on bail.
