Police close Penhill road after van flips on side
A DRIVER fled after flipping his van when he crashed into a parked Penhill car.
Police were called to the crash at 8.30pm on Downton Road, Penhill, last night.
They said the white Ford Transit van had flipped onto its side after hitting a parked Vauxhall Astra.
The driver fled the scene.
Downton Road was closed until 10.30pm.
A police spokesman said: “We are appealing for witnesses and our investigations are continuing to try and establish what happened.”
