THE A420 to Shrivenham has reopened following a 24 hour closure due to a major gas leak.
A spokesperson for Wales and West Utilities said: “The Shrivenham road has now reopened after the gas network was seriously damaged by contractors working in the area.
“This was a challenging repair job and our engineers worked through the night to repair the damage and get things back to normal as safely and as quickly as possible.
“We appreciate the disruption this work has caused, but it was essential to keep gas flowing to heat homes and power businesses in the area.”
