Drivers planning to use the M4 tonight are being advised by Highways England to allow extra time for their journeys due to emergency overnight resurfacing works.
The eastbound carriageway of the M4 between junction 20 and 19 will be closed overnight to enable resurfacing to be carried out.
The closure will be in place from 10pm tonight until 6am tomorrow morning.
The slip road from the M5 northbound to the M4 eastbound and the M5 southbound to the M4 eastbound and westbound will be affected.
A spokesman for Highways England said: "Clearly signed diversions will be in place. Drivers are advised to leave the motorway at junction 16 and follow the diversion."
