Shop thief jailed

COURT: Alonza Fallon was jailed for three months by magistrates after displaying what they described as a "flagrant disregard" for court orders.

Fallon, 35, of Silbury Mews, committed a series of thefts while on a suspended sentence imposed on January 6. He admitted taking £108 of products from Superdrug and £48 of goods from Luxury Beauty on February 18, meat and cheese valued at £47 from Morrisons on January 2, DVDs worth £60 from HMV on January 27, alcohol from Morrisons worth £109 on February 12 and alcohol valued at £108 from John Lewis. He also pleaded guilty to committing further offences while under a suspended sentence which had been handed down for two thefts.The bench also ordered him to pay a £115 contribution towards victim services.

GBH trial date

COURT: Roy Shepherd has been sent for trial at Swindon Crown Court charged with maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm on another man on April 24 last year.

Shepherd, 38, of North Leaze Close, was granted unconditional bail until his appearance before a judge on March 16.

Threats man fined

COURT: Matthew Nicholson, 58, of Ripon Way, Park South, admitted using religiously-aggravated threatening behaviour was detained at Swindon Magistrates Court until the end of the session.

He was fined £100 as a result of the incident on December 23 and told to pay £30 towards victim services.

Fraud accused

COURT: Candice Pask is due to appear before Swindon magistrates on March 19 to face a charge of fraud.
