A SPRINKLER system test resulted in four fire engines being called to a property in Victoria Road.
The man carrying out the test raised the alarm yesterday afternoon after seeing smoke from the generator that was being used to power the apparatus.
Swindon, and Westlea were among the crews to respond.
Crew manager James Regan said: “He saw the smoke, raised the alarm and got himself out, which was the right thing to do.”
But when firefighters arrived they realised there was no fire and the smoke was normal.
