A PIRATE-THEMED party is being held on Savernake Street next month.

The Eastcott Community Organisation’s Big Lunch and Neighbourhood Party kicks off at Savernake Street Social Hall on Sunday June 3 from 1pm to 4pm.

Guests can join the Big Lunch by bringing a plate of cold food and soft drinks to share from 12pm to 1pm.

Caroline Davies-Khan, chair of Eastcott Community Organisation, said:“We are thrilled to be holding another Big Lunch at Savernake Street Social Hall and hope that it’s a great opportunity for everyone around the Eastcott area to meet with friends and neighbours.

“And if thae weather’s good we’ll be able to sit outside, as we’ve been granted road closure.’’

Throughout the afternoon, families can enjoy children’s entertainment and live music - fancy dress is encouraged.

There will be a show by magician and entertainer Razamatazz, pirate-themed fun from Debutots, and folk music by The Bellflowers. Ray's Ice cream will be there, too.

The free event aims to bring neighbours together and encourage community, friendship and fun.

The road will be closed between 10am to 5pm to enable the organisers to set up - residents shouldn’t park in the street during that time.
