Henry Bateman will be bringing his six-piece band back to his home town of Fairford this week.
The singer, who attended Farmor School in Fairford, before studying at Leeds College of Music, has notched up two albums to his credit, Take A Form and his latest offering Throwing And Catching, which were both well received by critics and fans alike.
Henry’s band has scooped dates alongside singer songwriter Sam Brookes this summer. Henry’s style has been influenced by a range of original guitarists/singer/songwriters – ranging from Michael Hedges to Peter Gabriel, Randy Newman and James Taylor.
He will be headlining his own gig on Saturday, June 2 at St Mary’s Church in Fairford at 8pm. Special guest on the night will be Bob Heath. Tickets are £10 in advance, £15 a pair henrybatemanmusic@gmailcom or call 07522766297. - Flicky Harrison
