COURT: A former football club treasurer has appeared in court charged with fraud.
Mark Richard Slade, 54, of Bright Street, Gorse Hill, is accused of transferring in the region of £14,800 into his own accounts while treasurer of Croft Junior Football Club.
He appeared before Swindon magistrates on Saturday morning, dressed in a dark blue polo shirt.
Magistrates released him on unconditional bail. He is due in Swindon Crown Court on July 6.
