THE DETECTIVE leading the original investigation into Christopher Halliwell’s murders suggested there could be a link between the killer cabbie and missing Linda Razzell.

The former Det Supt Steve Fulcher, who resigned from Wiltshire Police in 2014, told BBC’s Conviction programme that police had uncovered a trophy store in Ramsbury, near Aldbourne. It contained 60 items, with detectives saying it pointed to a murderer hoarding trophies of his victims.

The former police officer said the force should investigate whether Linda’s clothes were among the items stashed. “You don’t have to be a detective, a policeman or even have a double digit IQ to know there’s a potential line of investigation there,” he said.

The charity Inside Justice, which probed the Razzell case, spoke to Wiltshire Police detectives currently working on other possible murders committed by Halliwell.

They found analysis of the hoarded items had ruled out a link to the former cab driver.

Other evidence suggested a possible link to Halliwell, including a statement from one Old Walcot mum, Margaret Herbert.

At the time of Linda Razzell’s disappearance, she said she had spotted a man apparently matching Halliwell’s description sitting on a wall on Drove Road, near to where Linda went missing. “He looked like he was waiting for somebody,” she said.
