SNAP up the chance to see original, cutting edge theatre at the first FUSE theatre festival, which starts in just one week’s time.
Since their launch in February 2017, Swindon’s Shoebox Theatre has become a go-to space for performance training and contemporary theatre, and is always looking for new ways to give young and emerging theatre makers a platform to create and showcase their work. Thus FUSE came into being - a weekend busy with innovative drama from emerging artists, offering them free rehearsal space, mentoring in producing, marketing, production and artistic development, and an opportunity to perform their work in progress to an audience.
Five pieces will be performed - two on Friday July 6 and three on Saturday July 7 - and a pay-what-you-can ticketing policy ensures the opportunity to see the plays is truly inclusive. Dollybox is one of the companies involved, and they will perform their work in progress Copyright, an exploration of female identity from the perspectives of social rights, ownership and body image.
