WHAT better way to spend a weekend than with good food, good music and good weather?

The three-day Festival on the Farm saw huge crowds come to Purton House Organics to enjoy live music and comedy.

Visitors tucked into yummy organic food while kids had fun with the funfair and face-painting.

Andrew Campbell brought his family and three others to camp at the festival for the whole three days.

The 48-year-old from Old Town said: "We went to this festival two years ago, just for a day, and promised that we'd come back and do it properly.

"There were 8 adults and 10 kids with us altogether, and a few friends came over on Saturday evening.

"It's a great festival, the bands are brilliant and it's a really safe environment for the kids to run around and play while we're watching the music or having a drink in the bar tent.

"We're getting them used to camping and the loud music before we take them to other festivals.

"The perfect weather has really made the weekend for us."

Chris Plaister organised the festival's line-up, which included many local bands.

He said: "There's six of us who plan the whole festival, and each person has their own section.

"It takes months of planning and we're getting bigger and better each year, while embracing the farmhouse feel.

"We couldn't have asked for better weather.

"Last year's weather was disastrous, but the festival itself was great, in typical British fashion everyone just wore an umbrella-hat and carried on in the rain.

"We've just acquired a bigger licence so next year we'll be able to get more people in and hopefully book big-name acts.

"The beauty of this festival is the size of it .

"We get around 1,000 people in but it still has a very chilled atmosphere, which is good for kids and families, it's not overwhelming.

The line-up included Motown and soul performances by the Go-Go Five, ‘80s electro-pop tribute band Binomial, The Voice Kids youngsters Magician’s Nephew, the Blind Lemon Blues Band, Robbie Williams tribute act Marc as Robbie, and rockers Penfold and Hooch, Raze*Rebuild, Rotten Aces, the Dirty Smooth, Vice Versa, and Sex Jazz.

Alan Francis and El Baldiniho provided lots of laughs and even a bit of magic.

Some of the festival’s proceeds went to Prospect Hospice, and the money raised for charity was matched by Fish Brothers.
