THE Velcro suit comedian Dom Joly wore to promote the Swindon's Science museum bid for Lottery money has gone on sale.

It has just been put up on auction website eBay by the museum in Wroughton and will be up for grabs for seven days.

The Trigger Happy TV star wore the black suit as he was driven around stuck to the front of the Inspired Project's bus.

It had been in the running to become shortlisted for the ITV public vote and planned to open up many unseen historical objects to the public that are currently hidden away in their seven hangars.

Sadly, this failed to happen as the museum was knocked out of the £50m funding competition at the penultimate hurdle.

The museum hopes the sale and footage online of Dom will put a smile back on people's faces in what has been a difficult fortnight for all concerned with the project.

A note on the website states: "Please note this suit is not suitable for attaching a person to the front of a vehicle."
