VOLUNTEERS are needed to lead brisk walks around Swindon.
Active Swindon is holding two training sessions to teach local people to become walk leaders on the Healthy Walks Programme.
The programme runs regular walks from Broadgreen, Pinehurst and Penhill.
Nan Pratt, of Active Swindon, who will be training the new walk leaders, said: "If you enjoy walking, want to improve your health, and would like to help others do the same, you are qualified to be a leader.
"Our Health Walks Programme is a great way of helping people achieve the five recommended sessions of exercise per week."
Training sessions will be held from 9.30am to 3pm on Sunday, November 18 at the Lawns Community Centre and Thursday, January 17 at Swindon Council's Premier House. Contact Nan Pratt on 01793 466202 or email npratt@swindon.gov.uk.
