WRITERS in Swindon are being encouraged to send in for submissions for a new magazine.
Literature development project Artswords first put out a call for writing pieces for the first Swindon Writing anthology in late 2019.
Submissions poured in and the finished product came out in December 2020. Now, a second issue is in the works.
The project is run in partnership with Swindon Libraries Service and the Swindon Festival of Literature
Artswords welcomes submissions from anyone living in or near Swindon or with a significant connection to the town.
Literature development worker Matt Holland said: "Whether you are a powerful poet, a novice novelist, a promising playwright, a confident composer, or a bashful beginner, Swindon Writing welcomes your work.
"Any piece of writing or illustration will be considered for publication.
"Each author may submit one or two pieces of no more than 1,000 words in each.
"Shorter pieces are encouraged. The quality of submissions is more important than their length."
