Organised plan needed for centre

I was born and raised in Swindon, 70s 80s 90s. I never felt so utterly depressed with the town centre - units empty for years and years – look at the bottom of the town empty units for 10years +

The bottom of the town is really awful, I could go on about other areas, how long will Morrisons/ Debenhams be empty.

There is no voice from the other political parties, Labour et al

A voice from the councillors. A plan, an organised, co-ordinated, integrated plan.

A PM with morals would have resigned

Boris Johnson has proved, beyond any reasonable doubt, that there is no honour in politics anymore!

Resignation, as a matter of principle, is not even on his radar!

He lied about Brexit and then (denied and subsequently) lied about the Covid pandemic, and so he has proved his total unsuitability to lead the country!

If this was not bad enough, he took no action on the Cummings and Barnard Castle debacle.

He then lied about various parties held, during lockdown, in Downing Street - with the very latest revealed about his own birthday party there in June 2020.

But, hey, let's wait for Sue Gray's response, eh PM?

MPs are resigning from the party - Christian Wakeford crossed the House to join Labour a few days ago. Among other issues, Mr Wakeford had been unhappy with the withdrawal of the £20-a-week universal credit uplift.

Admittedly, he didn't oppose the decision, but blamed voting with the Government on heavy-handed attempts by whips to impose party discipline, which further disillusioned him.

By the way, this is called "blackmail" and is, unsurprisingly, illegal.

Backing this up, a Conservative backbencher who also accused Downing Street of trying to "blackmail" MPs, seeking to oust Boris Johnson, is to meet police to discuss his allegations.

William Wragg said he will be speaking to a Met Police detective in the House of Commons, after requesting a meeting with the force.

He wants the PM to quit and said that he wanted to leave any probe to "experts" rather than to No 10.

And again a Conservative minister in the House of Lords has resigned attacking the Government's handling of fraudulent Covid business loans (no real surprise there, then).

Lord Agnew accused the Treasury of having "little interest in the consequences of fraud to our society" and then walked from the House in disgust.

And then we also have Nusrat Ghani who has claimed that, when sacked as a Tory government minister in 2020, a government whip told her that her "Muslimness was raised as an issue."

Whilst one or two Tories have proved they do have beliefs and scruples, I do not want the rest of this bunch of arrogant, ignorant, out-of-touch, imbeciles in charge of this country for any longer than is absolutely necessary.

Swindon's MPs - Messrs Buckland and Tomlinson have both been more invisible than ever, recently - I wonder why?

In conclusion, any PM, with any morals, would resign, go to HM Queen and ask for the dissolution of this wretched Parliament and thereby allow for a General Election to take place.

I'm not holding my breath.....
