A new collection of aerial photos released by has offered an amazing look at Swindon's past.
The breathtaking images were released by Historic England as part of a collection of 400,000 pictures from the past 100 years and among them are some great photos of iconic Swindon landmarks and areas.
Here are some of the best photos released for Swindon that cover the Magic Roundabout, the County Ground, the now demolished Princess Margaret Hospital and Regent Circus.

The County Ground And The Magic Roundabout - 1971
Swindon Town's football ground doesn't look much different now than it did in 1971, but to the left of the building is a roundabout that many in Swindon might not recognise.
This is what the iconic Magic Roundabout used to look like before it was, well, the iconic Magic Roundabout.
Regent Circus - 1924
Regent Circus has changed a great deal since 1926 and it is now the home of a number of restaurants, takeaways and entertainment venues.
The most recent development is the leisure complex with a cinema, restaurants and a supermarket, although it has undergone a troubled time since it was built.
Great Western Railway Works - 1946
Here is a wide shot of the scale of the railway works which is where the current train station is.
Old Town - 1926
Old Town now is a bustling hub of shops, restaurants and homes but back in the day it was also a major hub for the Railway works.
Princess Margaret Hospital - 1963
The Princess Margaret Hospital was Swindon's major hospital until it was replaced by the Great Western Hospital in 2002.
It was demolished two years later in 2004.
Railway Village - 1920
Swindon's Railway Village was the central hub for the towns workers and it's also where the idea for what we know as the the NHS was first derived.
We end with a couple of photos of some more specific parts of Swindon, The Manor House in Purton and Churchfields School, whic is now known as Lawn Manor Academy.
