A viral video has shown 'unsuspecting town centre shoppers' being preyed upon by a dinosaur.

But don't worry, Swindon hasn't had a breakthrough in Jurassic Park-esque DNA cloning, instead, the town became the site of social media prank posted onto TikTok by popular content creator Goub.

Goub has 15.9million followers on the social media platform, with his videos always reaching massive viewing figures.

The stunt, set in Swindon, saw Ronnie Rex of Britain's Got Talent fame desperately running around a corner past bemused people only for a raptor (a person in a fairly realistic-looking suit) to surprise/scare the poor member of the public, with that person's typically hilarious reactions being filmed.

Of course, no actual members of the public were pranked in this video and the hijinks within were clearly staged as all of the 'victims' were also well-known TikTokers, Goub himself being one of them.

The first person, a man inexplicably dressed all in green, set the tone with his reaction. After seeing the dinosaur, he lets out an almighty scream, falls over backwards and dramatically spills his drink everywhere.

The next victim, Goub, turns and sprints away from the dinosaur. He's followed by, well, Spider-Man who is startled and falls backwards. Two young lads try to escape next, followed by a day who falls over exposing her, censored, underwear. Another young man desperately tries to crawl away from the raptor.

The whole video is incongruously paired with rousing opera music and often goes into sow-motion for full dramatic effect.

A lot of the commenters have recognised the town's shopping area centre and have commented on Swindon's use as a location.

One person said: "I'm more shocked that this was in Swindon."

"Same lol, I was like - wait a minute not this," another added in agreement.

Others from the town made jokes about the dinosaur's presence in the often maligned retail area.

Someone then replied to them with: "I absolutely love this comment! I’m from Swindon and I have to agree."

"I don't think I've ever seen Swindon Town centre that busy," someone said in another comment.

The video was posted on Tuesday, August 23, and two days later has already been watched 3.5million times.
