Radio One's Big Weekend brought the biggest bands and musicians of 2009 to Swindon.
Huge crowds of around 40,000 people flocked to Lydiard Park on May 9 and 10 for the BBC radio station's annual music festival, which featured Florence and the Machine, The Saturdays, Deadmau5, Snow Patrol, Kasabian, N-Dubz, and Dizzee Rascal.
DJs Scott Mills and Chris Moyles appeared on the main stage during the show, and Chris greeted fans at The Sir Daniel Arms when he visited the town in March to officially launch the festival.
The live music performed across four stages was broadcast on Radio 1, along with a TV highlights show broadcast on BBC3.
Florence and the Machine performed just before the release of her debut album which catapulted the group to worldwide fame.
The Saturdays played ahead of a tour that would bring them back to Swindon for a concert that July which entertained 1,600 people in the Oasis Leisure Centre.
N-Dubz did the same, playing at Big Weekend and then going back to Swindon for a gig at the Oasis in April 2010.
