WILTSHIRE residents will once again be in for a treat as the Red Arrows take to the skies on Wednesday.

The much-loved aerial display team will be soaring over many of Wiltshire's biggest towns on a trip from RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire where they are stationed to the Channel Islands. 

On their route the Red Arrows will be passing over Malmesbury at 11.42am and then in the following five minutes they will also fly over Chippenham, Corsham, Bradford on Avon, and Trowbridge.

Depending on where they are in the skies, people in Lacock, Melksham and Westbury might also get a glimpse of the iconic red planes. 

At 11.39am they will be flying over Somerford Keynes and Cotswold Water Park, near Kemble, South Cerney and Ashton Keynes. 

After leaving RAF Waddington at 11.20am, they will arrive at their destination 39 minutes later. 

The timing and exact routes may be altered slightly on the day due to weather conditions or other requirements.

The team was formed in 1964 and act as the face of the Royal Air Force, representing the speed, agility and precision of the organisation.

The team is made up of pilots, engineers and essential support staff with frontline, operational experience.
