Hundreds of people are expected to make the annual trek to the Stourhead National Trust site this winter, to view the spectacular Christmas light display.

The immersive illuminations were set to transform the world-famous landscape garden and Palladian mansion between Friday, December 1 and Sunday, December 31, 2023.

However, due to the popularity of the event, Stourhead National Trust has now added new dates with extra tickets.

“Tickets have been released for a brand new date of Christmas at Stourhead – the spectacular after-dark illuminated lights trail,” said a spokesperson for the National Trust site.

“You can now book tickets for December 7, with various timings available. If you haven’t got your tickets yet, make sure you book now for the perfect pre-Christmas outing.”

Tickets are on sale at £15 per child (aged three to 16) and £21.50 per adult, and will include access to the light trail that winds around the world-famous landscape garden, street food vendors, and the chance to see Father Christmas.

Stourhead’s gardens will be filled with larger-than-life illuminations, which will dance to a soundtrack of seasonal music.

This year, The National Trust is also introducing a new route, as well as new features such as a ‘Sea of Light’, crystals suspended in trees, and a ‘Liquid Lake’ made of rainbow colours.

The event has been organised by Sony Music in partnership with the National Trust, and the trail was created by Culture Creative.
