These vintage photos show snapshots of a busy Swindon route from 1900 to now.
Cricklade Road connects the Transfer Bridges area of town to the Moonrakers pub via a straight line through Gorse Hill and Lower Stratton.
Postcards and images capture its transformation over time, including fondly-missed sites like the Palace Cinema, Faces Snack Bar, L Wollen's Off-Licence, and Wilkins' Shop while other structures like St Barnabas Church have still stood strong for many decades.
The photos show roadworks, colourful murals, and the remarkable inauguration of Swindon's mayor in 1932.
Who knows how different it will look another 100 years from now?
