An investigation is underway after several foxes were found dead in the same place.

Three foxes, two of which had - according to those that discovered them - been 'shot in the head', were discovered in The GAP community garden last month, much to the horror of those that use it.

Now Wiltshire Police has confirmed that it is looking into the shocking circumstances surrounding these discoveries and is asking the public to help with any information.

A spokesperson for the force said: "We have received reports of foxes being found deceased in Carstairs Avenue, Swindon.

“We are still in the early stages of our investigation.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact us on 101 quoting reference 54230126396.”

Matthew French, chair of The GAP committee, has also issued a public plea to whoever is behind these deaths to stop .

He said: "Whoever the sick individual is going around Parks shooting foxes in the head and dumping them at The GAP.

"PLEASE STOP IT now. The police and RSPCA have been informed."
