Literature-loving youngsters had fun with fiction by dressing up as their favourite characters for World Book Day.
March 7 saw schools around the town celebrate the magic of storytelling with events and activities as well as the traditional non-uniform day that gave children the chance to bring nursery rhymes, adventurous tales, comic books, classic fables, and magical mysteries to life.
Some of the staff and parents even joined in.
The Adver received more than 100 fantastic photos via our website contributions, showing off a delightful array of imaginative outfits which have been collected together into one massive mega-gallery.
