A woman bitten during a dog attack that saw a Yorkshire terrier killed has revealed the extent of her injuries.

Karen Hart's beloved dog Lola was attacked by an unaccompanied and loose Akita-type dog in Nythe while in the care of her friend, Zoe Hunt, on April 4, and died from her injuries.

Zoe tried to save Lola and sustained bite wounds in the process that she needed to go to hospital for treatment.

A police investigation is underway, and the pair have been trying to track down the dog's owner before anything else happens.

Karen said: "We have still not had any luck or any news from the police on the dog that attacked and killed Lola.

"Zoe has been in hospital with an infection in the bite and is on her fourth lot of antibiotics.

"I am going to share with you the pics of her bites 3 weeks later and this would be why we need this dog off the street."

"My poor Toby doesn’t eat and he is so sad and so lost."

An award of £500 has been offered for anyone who provides information that leads to the recovery of the dog.

The Adver understands that this attack is not linked to the man being bitten by an Akita-type dog in Queen's Park, needing 60 stitches for his wound.
