Cirencester United boss Chokri Kartit says his side can make a big impact this campaign and put to rest the misery of last season’s bottom-placed finished.
Kartit took over from Mark Warriner midway through last season with the club already doomed at the foot of the table.
But after a successful pre-season campaign the former Blueprint Chilsedon man is full of optimism.
“We’ve retained the majority of our squad and have had a good pre-season,” he said.
“The squad is now more experienced and motivated so I see us being much stronger this time round.”
Kartit believes his side will not have to worry about a repeat of last season’s form that saw them record just two wins.
“I’m not saying we are going to win it but we certainly are not going to be down in the bottom two,” he said.
“I’d like to think once we’ve settled, there will be a big difference in the results from last year.
“The team have played together for some time and now they have had a good look at what the league is about so they are confident they can do well.”
