THE hunt is on for an armed robber who attacked a Swindon bookmakers.
The raider struck just before 8pm last night at the William Hill bookmakers on Sandford Street.
Police were on the scene within minutes and got a detailed description of the attacker from eye-witnesses.
Investigations continue today.
"The weapon used within this crime has been recovered and is no longer a threat to the public," said PC Graham Mansell.
Police now want to speak to witnesses who can help with the investigation.
The man being hunted is described as white, male and in his twenties.
He is tall and was said to have a medium build. He was wearing a thickly padded grey or blue jacket and light blue jeans with distinctive white rear pockets.
