Prior Park Prep School in Cricklade fought off ten other schools at the Prep Schools ‘university challenge’ style competition in Monmouth this week, to take a highly commendable second place.
Beating schools from across Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Somerset, Staffordshire, Wiltshire and Monmouthshire, the Prior Park team of Alex Hall, George Hunter, Toby Heaton and team captain, Chloe Christie managed three victories for a place in the semi-final, before success in a ‘sudden death’ last question put them through to the final.
The final round was hotly contested with Prior Park narrowly missing out to three times winners, Tockington Manor School, Bristol.
