The children and teachers of Peatmoor School are proud to be able to take part in the All Saints Church Magazine.

We have had some fun events in the last week.

For starters, we have had a very exciting anti-bullying week.

Our Buddy Bus Stop team held an assembly about bullying and where they are in the playground. They also explained about what they do and who to look out for when you’re upset. They performed a super role play which they put together themselves.

The next day a few children from Greendown Secondary School came and talked to us about bullying and how to stop it. They put together a slide show and also performed a bit of role play.

The children really enjoyed the role play and understood the message behind it.

We were all given a brick each (but OBVIOUSLY they weren’t real bricks, they were paper! But we pretended they were real…) then when we had time, we drew things that we liked and represented us. Then after an assembly, on the way out, two year six’s collected them all in. At lunchtime six year 6’s stuck them up on the wall in the lunch hall and it came out great!

One day that week some people from the Freedom Theatre Company came in and performed a piece of drama called “It wasn’t me!” for the children. It was a mind-blowing performance and the children really enjoyed it! We have had many other exciting things going on in the school, such as our new pond. Since we are an eco school, we thought our old pond needed to be dug out, since it was all muddy and sludgy. The builders started working on the pond in October and have made a huge difference!
