THE man behind Purton Carnival is getting dressed up in drag to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Kevin Law and friends will be dressing up on Saturday, August 1, as part of a drag theme night in the village.
He said: “We will be dressing up in drag – men dressed as women and women dressed as men – starting at 7.30pm at the Angel Pub, in Purton, then we will go into Swindon to the Sir Daniel Arms for 9pm then into Walkabout at 10.30pm and on from there until we can no longer walk in heels.
“We are going to dress like idiots, have a few drinks and a great night out in Swindon with a lot of like-minded people who don't take themselves too seriously and hopefully raise some money that could save lives.
