VALLEY FC took a huge step towards the Swindon Abbey Meads Sunday 6-a-side Leisure Leagues Premier Division title with a 13-2 mauling of Penhill FC, who in turn are now flirting with the relegation places.

Sevenfields romped home to an incredible 29-2 dismissal of Swindon Torpedos FC in Division One, but they will have to settle for promotion via the runners-up berth as God With An Extra ‘O’ have now won the title.

Help For Heroes are still struggling at the bottom of the pile as they were easily beaten 17-3 by Deportivo Lacka Talent, and Red Star made it sixteen points from sixteen games as the raced through 7-1 against Old’em Pathetic. MUFC claimed a 4-2 success over Staples For Goalposts.

ST JOSEPH’S SUNDAY

Parkz & Co were the stars of the show this week in the St Joseph’s Sunday league, as they raced through to a crushing 6-1 drubbing of Scouting For Goals.

Swindon’s Finest are a point shy of the summit in third spot after sneaking through 2-1 against Wilts Ham United, and Boca Seniors shared a 1-1 draw with The Messenger.

NEXT GENERATION THURSDAY

Kembrey FC are early pacesetters at the top of the Next Generation Thursday league as they romped home to an 11-2 rout of FC Bassett this week.

West Haydon United were also in ‘eleventh’ heaven, as they stormed home to an 11-4 drubbing of Plough Inn, but West Swindon FC went one better than both sides, racing through to a pulsating 12-8 victory over Lonely Barry Athletic.

CTC United’s first point of the season came in the shape of an enthralling 7-7 draw with MUFC.
