A 21-year-old is to face trial by jury accused of assaulting a man and then threatening him after he bad been to the police.
Carl Hiett is said to have assaulted Adam Wilmott on Monday, July 20, and then made the threats to harm him on Thursday, July 23.
When Hiett, of Forester Close, Liden, appeared before a judge at Swindon Crown Court he denied charges of assault causing grievous bodily harm and witness intimidation. Recorder Stephen Lennard adjourned the case to Wednesday, December 16, when Hiett will face trial by jury.
The judge released Hiett on bail on condition that he does not drink alcohol in a public place and observes a 9pm to 6am curfew.
He said he must also live at his home address, have no contact with certain named witnesses or go to Ferndale Park or Booth House.
