A man accused of carrying out a robbery has been banned from entering the town centre by a crown court judge.
Jason Croke is charged with taking cigarettes and money during the alleged offence on Friday, August 7.
No charge was put to the 23-year-old, of Eastmere, Liden, during the brief hearing at Swindon Crown Court and he did not enter a plea.
Recorder Stephen Lennard adjourned the case to allow prosecutors time to serve the case papers on the defence.
He released Croke on bail on condition he lives at his home address, stays out of the town centre, reports to the police station and does not contact witnesses.
He will be back before a judge on January 8 when the defendant is expected to enter a plea.
