Wootton Bassett School headteacher Chris Montacute is preparing to bid farewell to the school he has led for the past eight years.
Next month Mr Montacute, pictured, will take up the role of Strategic Director for the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust, an independent organisation dedicated to raising achievement for young people in secondary schools.
Wootton Bassett School’s chairman of governors Malcolm Wilford praised Mr Montacute for his contribution to the school and said he has high hopes for the future of the school.
The governors have appointed George Croxford as headteacher from January 1.
He is currently headteacher at Bridge Learning Campus Secondary School, in Bristol.
