Our review of the Darren Shan Show!

Megan Ward from 7A says….

It was a fun experience I got to learn more about Darren Shan and his books than I knew before. I liked it when he read an extract from two of his books, ‘Cirque du Freak’ and ‘Lord Loss’ because I understood the characters more when it was being read out to me. I also liked the part when he had people to act out ‘Cirque du Freak’ because it was fun to see people that we didn’t know act out the scenes. I would give it nine out of ten because the atmosphere wasn’t what I thought it would be.

Molly Woolhouse also from 7A says… It was great to meet another author this week, I have read most of his books, my favourite being ‘Lord Loss’ and I liked the day even more when he read out extracts from ‘Lord Loss’ because hearing it from the author kind of helps you understand the meaning of why he wrote it and how he would say it. I also liked the part when he brought people from completely different schools up to the stage because it gave the audience an idea of how other people picture it. The best bit of the day was actually seeing Darren Shan because he was not how I pictured him, he was quite tall and I thought he would be short and shy but he was really not shy and he made a really good impression of himself.
