Film: Miracle On 34th Street
The 1947 classical film re-make with roles being played by actors such as Richard Attenborough, Elizabeth Perkins and Mara Wilson proved to be a family Christmas hit in 1994. Les Mayfield directed the re-make which successfully created a festive high all around the contemporary New York.
Susan Walker (Mara Wilson) was brought up to believe that Santa wasn’t real. We are shocked to find out that it was her mother who had insisted he was just a fantasy character! Her mother being involved in the Christmas Parade for her department store was at last minute left with no Santa! In result of this she hired Kringle. Does he have the power to change the hearts of those around him and save the Christmas spirit for the Walker’s?
Richard Attenborough excels in this movie and brings a seasonal joy to all families. Defiantly a Christmas Day film to watch by the fire!
